Corporations use savvy marketing tactics, junk science, co-opted institutions, and their clout in Washington to safeguard the status quo.
A handful of major food companies now control nearly our entire food system. They’ve put millions of small farmers out of business and bled rural communities dry. They’ve turned workers and animals into widgets. And they’ve ransacked our planet. In this system, everyone loses but them.
